Scholarship

Alpha Delta Pi values scholarship. Our chapter had the #1 GPA on Indiana's campus for Spring of 2018 and had the #2 GPA for the previous semester! Our sisters are in almost every major on campus, from Education to Finance to Nursing to Communications. We always strive to do our best and constantly encourage each other to excel academically. We are committed to holding high academic standards and to exemplifying that commitment through classroom attendance and performance. Along with winning Highest Chapter GPA, we have also won Highest New Member GPA. In addition to classroom excellence, each of our members receives opportunities to attend educational programs outside of their regular class schedule to learn more practical life lessons, which may include anything from networking to self defense.

GIVING BACK

Alpha Delta Pi has been committed to volunteering for its International philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, since 1979.  The Ronald McDonald Houses provide comfortable, temporary residences for families with seriously ill or injured children near medical facilities.

Ronald McDonald House Charities also create family rooms in hospitals near pediatric and intensive care units and Care Mobiles, which provide access to health care for families that may not be near a medical facility. Ronald McDonald House has two separate locations in Indianapolis, one attached to Riley Children's Hospital, and another satellite location down the street.

Starting last spring, Beta Alpha introduced a new philanthropy event called Carnival at the Court. It consists of all-you-can-eat carnival snacks, including hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, as well as a photo-booth and music. We also include Pie-a-Pi and Dunk-a-Delta, where guests are able to “pie” or dunk their ADPi friends;  guests could donate to participate.

After last spring, we decided to move the event to the fall in order to give women a chance to see what ADPi is all about before formal recruitment season. After hosting this event in both the spring and fall of 2017, Beta Alpha raised nearly $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House.

In addition to fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities, members of Beta Alpha are proud to volunteer at the Indianapolis Ronald McDonald Houses through preparing and serving dinners as well as collecting supplies that residents might need.

Throughout campus and the Bloomington community, Indiana ADPi's can be found volunteering in philanthropic and service-based organizations, such as Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, and the Bloomington Food Pantry. Our sisters also attend and support the philanthropic events of other PHA, IFC, NPHC, and MCGC chapters.

Alpha Delta Pi is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our community and beyond. It's our mission to serve the greater good, all while developing strong women of character. If you or someone you know needs volunteers for your organization or project, please contact us at baadpiservice@gmail.com or baadpiphilanthropy@gmail.com and request a time and day for service. Thank you, and Pi love!

Active on Campus

Active on Campus

With a chapter of 168 sisters who are involved in at least two other activities on campus, getting involved on campus is second nature to Indiana ADPi's.

Like our official jewel, the diamond, Alpha Delta Pi sisters shine with their leadership and involvement on campus and community activities.  Beta Alpha boasts a chapter full of 169 sisters who are involved in at least two other activities on campus, with 68 percent of them holding leadership positions. Indiana ADPi's can be found expanding their knowledge, skill sets and creativity outside of the classroom whether in the Beta Alpha chapter house, on the Indiana University campus or in the Bloomington community.

Getting involved on campus and in the community is second nature when you're surrounded by sisters who aspire to be the best versions of themselves. No matter where you go or what you do, you can be confident that there's another Alpha Delta Pi sister ready to join you. The sisters of Beta Alpha aspire to continue to live their ritual every day and to continue to strengthen in numbers and influence on campus!
